Writer-director Marc Esposito’s second feature following the engaging French Men (a 2004 Festival audience favourite) is a romantic travel tale, exploring a fledgling, potentially ill-fated romance. He crafts a saga filled with anger, sadness and death, set against an earthly paradise: the lush and spectacular island of Bali, filmed in all its irresistible glory.
Tina (Zoé Félix) is a radiant young woman suffering from the sudden loss of her beloved husband. She meets her older brother’s friend Franck, played by singer/actor Marc Lavoine (whose voice alone has women swooning)... Franck gently tries to reintroduce Tina to life. With the help of his pal Michel (played by the always excellent Jean-Pierre Darroussin), Franck takes on the role of guide, travelling companion and friend to the grieving woman. But can he pierce the armour of Tina’s wounded soul and help her to set aside her former love?
ALL THE BEAUTY OF THE WORLD is part love story and part breathtaking travelogue. Get ready to be transported to a magical place - and seduced by the wonders of a newly unfolding relationship..
